“Bridging The Abyss” Sponsorship

problem statement Screen Shot 2015-03-13 at 10.10.35 AM

“Bridging The Abyss” is an Online Neighborhood Talk Video (ONTV) show geared to advance teenage digital communications and learning beyond the academic world. This show is inspired by the need for young people to learn to use the worldwide web to produce and distribute content for pre-teens and teens on world views. The term ‘credible for teens’ is to be interpreted as ONTV content made for teens and pre-teens, by teens and pre-teens, mentored by responsible adults in a way that is well-received and consistent.

It is certain that this type of ONTV teen show will be well-received because there is a void and limited competition.  Teen programming in America is largely based on Teen-dramas – both reality and scripted.  There is not one online neighborhood talk video teen show.

Another reason this show will prove appealing is because it will have an international appeal. Teens today can share podcast and YouTube videos with teens easily in other countries. That being the case, we must create a global hub with available resources, (i.e. via the internet.)

The casting, guests, set, and language will be fresh, fun and classy. The show will be popular because we will tap into the people, trends and hot topics that peak teens  interest.

The purpose of this show is essentially three-fold:

a. Expose communities to the teen perspective on current high profile issues and events.

b. Allow for comments, interaction, creativity and audio/video education and entertainment from the teenage audience.

c. Serve as a “pseudo” ONTV preparatory school for all pre-teens & teens.

Underlying, yet equally important goals are:

a. To be solution-oriented, (remembering we are always learning).
b. To have the freshest and trendiest ideas on various topics.
c. That pre-teen & teen viewers will learn something new on every show.

The show will be anchored in themes and segments. It will boast two themes from the following categories: Technology and Digital Entertainment, Education, Health, Economics, Politics, World Culture, History, STEM, Parent and Educator collaboration and Peer-to-Peer relationships. All themes will be presented with the pre-teen and teenage minds as a general focus.

Show’s Features

A.) The New-World-Lingo – This feature will be placed in every show. Two students from Authoring Action will always host this segment. The students will teach the audience abbreviations in text messaging, Google trends, different slang worldwide. A lot of world history, news and current events will be mentioned, etc.

New forms of learning will be introduced by experts and we will allow the youth to come up with new ways to get an education and get paid, teach them how to research online, etc. We will also utillize the worldwide web to teach life-strategies encouraging all youth to learn and teach new eLearning platforms. We must focus on getting our OnTV platform into schools and after school programs .introducing new career Options to students nationwide, (i.e. How to get into the best schools? How to find the best teachers online? etc.)

Coming in 2015! HitsWorks.com

North Carolina and Northern California collaborators present HitsWorks.com, a One-Stop hub site for promoting and distributing digital media. HitsWorks.com is a start up social marketing and social media talent development incubator. We provide resources and tools for new and emerging talent to create, distribute and market their work.

HitsWorks.com offers a great business opportunity linking talented student interns to professional mentors, development services, professional support, workspace, equipment and training. Interns will go on fieldtrips to venues where they can network, promote, perform and earn. By aligning Hitsworks.com with business partners like Authoring Action, United Roots, the Boys and Girls club, Time Warner, Facebook, Google, linkedIn and others that offer complimentary goods and services, we believe that we can offer significant advantages to prospected sponsors.

The collaboration called the “I Can Change The World” movement (#ICCTW) is designed to significantly broaden collaborations among responsible public figuers, corporations, foundations, organizations, schools and colleges. The result will be partnerships that are in support of education reform, career awareness, career opportunities, entrepreneurial literacy, as well as creating a virtual entrepreneurial workforce.

The “I Can Change The World Movement” collaboration is being built on a fund raising model that combines elements of American entertainer and social activist Harry Belafonte’s organization called United Support of Artists for Africa (USA for Africa), The Concert for Bangladesh (album) and The Concert for Bangladesh (film) which are recognized as  highly successful and influential humanitarian aid projects, generating both awareness and considerable funds as well as valuable lessons and inspiration for projects that followed, for such as Live Aid, We Are the World and We Are the World 25 for Haiti (YouTube Edition). Through revenue raised from the Concert for Bangladesh live album and film, an estimated $12 million had been sent to Bangladesh in relief.

At HitsWorks, our goal is to generate revenue streams to develop Social Media Onsite Training (SMOT), Online Neighborhood Talk Video (ONTV) workshops and replicate this model in other communities on a national level.

Now, more than ever, major corporations and foundations are aligning with reputable public figures, community leaders and non-profit organizations. What has changed in the relationship dynamic between nonprofits and private sector organizations is the shift in corporate philanthropy, from giving programs to strategic investments. This requires a more innovative business approach like ours to fundability and sustainability.

Media Arts Youth Ventures & Services

Authoring Action, as a key participant in the “I Can Change The World” Movement, will be managing a team of college interns and High School students that will coordinate the Online Neighborhood Talk Video Show – “Bridging The Abyss” in addition to providing needed support to the surrounding communities such as:

  • Web design & content management

  • Social media marketing

  • Graphic design & branding

  • Marketing through Video Production services

  • Support for upcoming artists; including publishing services, distribution opportunities and merchandising

Vision

HitsWorks recognizes a need for cost effective grass roots training in the areas of website development, multimedia content design, content productions and content management as well as online marketing and distribution services for digital media, entertainment and related merchandise. The “I Can Change The World” movement is designed to substantially revitalize Neighborhood to Neighborhood digital communications, Career Development, Education and the develop of small business. This initiative brings vital entities together and involve students in developing and managing social benefit websites and virtual enterprises. These enterprises offer “the works” for new and established entertainment and digital media talent, small businesses, teachers, aspiring entrepreneurs and the general public.

In 2015 HitsWorks in collaboration with Authoring Action, will create a Hybrid facility to train and to eventually employ young people in the fields of Audio & Video productions and digital media marketing. High school and college students will create innovative social benefit websites and start up virtual service enterprises.

HitsWorks audio recording and video production facility DBA – SMOT ONTV Action House will serve as a creative workstation open to students, educators and College Interns. HitsWorks Enterprises, LLC will launch HitsWorks.com, an online Social Media Marketing HUB website. This website will be supported by Virtual College Interns specializing in Website development, Web content management, social media marketing and online fundraising. The website will also support other businesses as well. HitWorks has already started recruiting student interns for planning, organizing, implementing, promoting and management of HitsWorks.com. The website will challenge students to raise funds through their activities on the site by effectively using their social networks to promote “I Can Change The World Campaign.”

HitsWorks.com will provide entertainment industry news, information regarding educational opportunities, online certifications, music, motion pictures, and action behind the scenes of the entertainment industries. HitsWorks.com will also showcase Authoring Action student leaders and provide opportunities for students to gain hands on experience.

Strategy:

Initially we want to produce a massive media blitz early this year (2015) to launch the “I Can Change The World” MovementThat would entail a reception (kick-off event) and press conference to be held at Authoring Action in Winston-Salem. Invitees would include local stakeholders such as student interns, local politicians, sports and music celebrities.

We use a fundraising and marketing strategy promoting motivational recordings i.e. I Can Change The World – downloadable single produced and performed by Authoring Action that can be a seed of inspiration to attract support from One Million Fans of the “I Can Change The World Movement.”

The vision is organized into six categories:

  • A full service audio and video production facility

  • Multimedia / talent search subscription driven website

  • Social Media Marketing student internship

  • A Talent Directory (Songwriters, Artist, Music and Video Producers)

  • Online Radio Network

  • Online TV Show and Newscast

The nations number one online Radio Show Host, Craig Stevens AKA DJ King Assassin will launch the Authoring Action fundraising Single over the world wide Web on May 17th, 2015. The Launching will also commemorate the 61st anniversary of Brown verse the Board of education decision. DJ King Assassin will coordinate the launch via his e-blast, representing over 3 millions fans in his online network.

Winston-Salem college student interns will operate SMOT Media Action House in Rural Hall, NC and eventually satellites and mobile units in other parts of North Carolina. The SMOT Action House will be organized and operated as a co-working multimedia space similar to an election campaign headquarters, designed to use multi-digital-media to promote positive messages about education, organize interns and volunteers in addition to coordinating our crowd-funding efforts.

Indeed, our thinking is to recruit and train students that can implement the project in a cost-effective transparent manner.

By offering Virtual internship opportunities for students to learn the new business of online virtual assistant enterprises, our hope is that more teenagers will commit to learning digital media technology. Once this strategy and ensuing programs get underway, the outcome will be the replication of Online Neighborhood Talk Video hubs. The desired results are socially engaged, motivated, competitive and better educated urban teenagers and young adults on a pathway to a successful career or a pathway to creating a successful business.
