Become a Virtual Social Media Marketing Intern!


Are you looking for a virtual internship? Do you have an average of 5 to 10 hours per week to commit to working on our innovative online funding campaign?

Team SMOT (HitsWorks Enterprises, Authoring Action and Weefur Family Media), is now interviewing Virtual Interns for the summer of 2015.

Team SMOT offers local internships for students at Salem College, Winston-Salem State University, Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina School of Arts and Forsyth Technical Community College.

SMOT is an acronym for – Social Media Onsite Training. The SMOT Virtual Internship Program is for creative students seeking hands on experience in e-learning, project management, audio and video productions, website development, graphics design, creative and grant writing, fundraising, business planning, marketing, research and a variety of other projects.

The SMOT Virtual summer internships run for 3 months providing 150-200 hours of work.

The SMOT internship is designed to offer you the opportunity to develop and practice leadership skills by applying academic solutions to real life problems.

While this is an unpaid internship, you will gain valuable experience and develop mutually beneficial relationships with professional mentors, businesses and non-profit organizations.

All participants who successfully complete the program, in addition to earned credits will receive: a SMOT video resume, a letter of recommendation, a LinkedIn Recommendation, LinkedIn Skill Endorsements, and professional portfolio samples, as well as recognition on HitsWorks Media Group’s Websites ( and for your contributions.

Even though there will be specific assignments require during your internship, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule.
